RIDER LEVELS

 

 

 

 

 

 

Riders start street riding from many places... from those with no street experience at all to those returning to riding after a long time away. These descriptions are general, and some may not apply to your needs. They provide both a starting point and possible future goals for new riders and mentors alike.

Level1
Right Outta Class

This stage rider has completed a basic motorcycle safety course or is signed up for one. They have their rider's permit or endorsement and have motorcycle insurance. They can perform basic starts, stops, shifting, turning and swerving.

Level 2

Run Around Rural

This level rider has ridden in parking lots, on rural streets and neighborhoods. They are comfortable making tight turns from a stop, speeds up to 40 mph, can handle very light traffic with signal lights and riding duration of up to 30 minutes. 

Level 3

Towner

At this level, a rider has ridden in town and light traffic. They are comfortable with traffic lights, roundabouts and merging. They can speed up to 60 mph and can comfortably take corners with minor hills. They ride up to 60 minutes duration.

Level 4
Urban Chaos

A rider at this level is comfortable in busy urban traffic areas and on highways, as well as interstates. They can travel at speeds up to 70 mph for close to 2 hours.

Level 5
Run Monster

 

Comfortable in small and large riding groups, riders at this stage will also be riding with loads and passengers. They can ride for long stretches of time at high speeds.

Level 6
Road Thing

This stage rider can live and camp from a motorcycle. They ride with heavy loads and passengers comfortably.
